Gap (GPS) upgraded to Neutral from Underperform at BofA with analyst Lorraine Hutchinson saying the company’s Old Navy business is making “quicker progress” toward sales growth, which gives her confidence in its ability to emerge from the pandemic closer to this year’s levels. 2. Brinker (EAT) upgraded to Equal Weight from Underweight at Morgan Stanley with analyst John Glass saying the company’s sales results now rank at the top of the peer group. 3. Builders FirstSource (BLDR) was upgraded to Overweight from Equal Weight at Barclays and to Buy from Hold at Deutsche Bank. 4. 1-800-Flowers.com (FLWS) upgraded to Neutral from Underperform at DA Davidson with analyst Linda Bolton Weiser saying the company’s Q4 sales and EBITDA outperformed the high end of its pre-announced guidance ranges as the company is seeing “no perceptible recession impact” on its e-commerce business. 5. Dell Technologies (DELL) upgraded to Outperform from Sector Perform at RBC Capital with analyst Robert Muller saying he is positive on the company’s improving balance sheet which positions it to withstand additional COVID-19 shocks, and he is more confident in its ability to deliver on long-term objectives.
